Can’t find what you’re looking for?

You can browse for posters via the genre categories (Shakespeare, British and Irish, American…) or search by typing a keyword (title, director, year, theatre…) in the search box under the National Theatre logo at the top left of the page. Within each category posters are sorted alphabetically by title.

Around 35 posters are missing from the NT posters collection; these are mostly from the period 1963-1970. Images of these posters will be added as we acquire them; a list of missing posters is available from the NT Archive – donations are most welcome!

Versions of posters showing alternative cast information are available to print but are not displayed; requests for these posters should be e-mailed to the NT Archive. National Theatre exhibition, repertory and posters for one-off events are not included onsite but may be added in the future. The full posters collection is available to view by appointment in the NT Archive.

Copyright in all posters is held by the National Theatre. For permission to use images in publication, broadcast, film or exhibition please contact the NT Archive.

The National Theatre

In our three theatres on the South Bank in London, the National presents an eclectic mix of new plays and classics, with seven or eight productions in repertory at any one time. It aims constantly to re-energise the great traditions of the British stage and to expand the horizons of audiences and artists alike. It aspires to reflect in its repertoire the diversity of our culture.

The Information Desk in the main entrance foyer is open during these times. Tel +44 (0)20 7452 3400.
